Here's the first illustration of 2008
The concept behind the work is the metaphor of Light vs Darkness, and I tried to illustrate it with a ‘double pair’ – the sunset versus the upcoming night, but also the tranquil, green land versus the scary, rough mountains. The image was created using Matte Painting techniques only; I hope you’ll like it!
PS:Also done for the upcoming Expose 6

Hey, so i really think you need to make the clouds near the left darker. Or maybe you could show that the clouds behind the mountain are shadowed from the sun.

hmm I saw this image on mattepainting.org.. its a great matte and lovely detail.. my only comment would be that the landscape could maybe use some more little highlights from the sun.. especially the green country cause that is supposed to feel like a sunset right? so maybe some warm highlights would make this image look even better.. maybe in the water a slight reflection of the sun
