Exotika, Part II
Say what?
~Suirebit and $zilla774 are very happy to bring you the second edition of Exotika, the Digital Scenery Contest.
Continuing the succes of the first competition while bringing the challenge to a new level, Exotika 2 features ice as it's main theme and encourages all the lanscapers and spacescapers to create cold, exotic worlds in order to win the great prizes;
However, this time we'll add some spice in the competition...
The images should be in wallpaper format.
Can you be "cool"?
I must say from the begining that while the theme of this contest is cold exotism, the main judging criteria will be originality so don't expect throwing a mountain in there and win. We want to see you trying to achieve great, dramatic scenes, we want you to use this competition only as a motivation to bring your ideas and style to a new level, to create breathtaking, original concepts, to show everyone what you are really capable of!
Depending on your response, the future editions may get big enough to bring in important sponsors
Rules
1) The images you'll submit should be original concepts, exotic (in a cold way) and in wallpaper format;
Here are the valid sizes:
- Normal PC / Mac
* 640x480 | 800x600
* 1024x768 | 1152x864
* 1280x960 | 1280x1024
* 1400x1050 | 1600x1200
* 2048x1536
- Dual Display / Widescreen
* 1280x480 | 1280x800
* 1440x900 | 1600x600
* 1680x1050 | 1920x1200
* 2048x768 | 2304x864
* 2560x960 | 2560x1024
* 3200x1200 | 4096x1536
2) Submissions must be original artwork and only one image per artist. When you have your image completed, please submit your pieceto the contest gallery:
submit-> community projects -> contests-> Exotika 2
as soon as the contest begins (December 1st)
3) The submitted image must be NEW, and submitted after this competition has been announced.
4) This is a Digital Scenery competition, hence no other type of art is allowed! Moreover, the images should be in wallpaper format (see 1) )
5) The images must be submitted before December 31th which is the deadline of this contest.
Judging
The images will be judged on the following aspects:
- Originality/Creativity
- Cold Exotic, Alien Properties
- Technical Execution

The Winner: A one year subscription and a DailyDeviation Award (feature made by $zilla774)
Two Honorable Mentions: One six months subscription each
